So, what exactly is Neurodiversity? Taken from the website for this amazing weeklong celebration, “Neurodiversity refers to a world where neurological differences are recognized and respected as all other human variations.”

That’s pretty straightforward. Isn’t it wonderful that we’re slowly beginning to recognize, explore, discern, and celebrate our differences? And how timely is it? At a time when we may be convinced that the entire world is separating into armed camps, there are people say NO, that’s not who we are! Again, from the website we have this: “No two people are the same and so we will all have different profiles.”

It seems as though, once again, the marginalized and dismissed segment of society is teaching the rest of us the value we all share, individually and collectively.

Approximately 15-20% of population has a neurological difference.Instead of labelling people with deficits or disorders, when we use the term neurodiversity, we take a balanced view of an individual’s unique strengths and challenges.

Take a look at the website, sign up for sessions that may be of interest, and take this amazing opportunity to learn more about a status and gift you — or someone you know and love — may find value in seeing.
